About Triplicity

Described often as “unique”, “unclassifiable”, “a rare find” or even “dream-like state”, Triplicity’s musical journey continues to delve deeper into a constant search for a personal language that unifies different genres and eras. Getting close to complete a decade as an active force in the Greek jazz and improvisational music scene, George, Panagiotis and Dimitris still remain faithful on the same principle that started the band: work hard, explore sound and create a musical vision that is always in “conversation” with present times. In their sophomore release entitled “Onibaba” the trio expands their sonic palette with their distinct use of electronic devices, but also unfolds meticulously crafted compositions that is not just an excuse to blow over them. You could easily say that there’s a deeper reason for every piece of music existing on this record. Seems like a coherent (sort of a) story or a film… Be sure to expect many more things in the (near) future! Is “Onibaba” the sound of redefining our lives through difficult times? Is it the reflections of our efforts to start over? Of rediscovering our path? Is it a meditation in music’s ability to find our inner selves? Triplicity say it’s all that, and so much more…
